About the Artist

Connie Taxiera ~ Piece of Mind Fabrications

I am a U.C. Davis graduate with a B.S. in Textile Science, and have been quilting since 1985. Following my passion for color and fabric, I have been fabricating bowls for the past 4 years, and my recent vases, leaf, & flower shaped bowls are an exciting new direction for me. Any given day will find me creating in my home studio business, Piece of Mind Fabrications.

My textile bowls were chosen by UCD's traveling gift committee to be among the tokens of appreciation Chancellor Vanderhoef gives to hosts when he travels for the university. My light and unbreakable fabric art has journeyed to China, Mexico, and the East Coast. These unique presents always impress the recipients.
